HC Deb 24 July 1987 vol 120 cc697-8W
Mr. Alfred Morris

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will make a statement on the progress of the work of the Disablement Services Authority.

Mr. Scott

The Disablement Services Authority came into existence on 1 July 1987, and it held its first meeting on that day. The Chairman, Lord Holderness, has discussed with me his preliminary plans for the authority's work, and I have every confidence in them, and in the authority.

I intend to adopt arrangements for an annual review of the authority's work similar to those which apply to other health authorities.
