§ Mr. Hanleyasked the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster what considerations he has given to providing funding for the re-training needs of Citizens Advice Bureaux caused by recent changes in legislation and by the programme outlined in the Queen's Speech; and whether he will make a statement.
§ Mr. MaudeI am aware of the need for workers in Citizens Advice Bureaux to keep themselves informed of changes in legislation which affect the public. The National Association of Citizens Advice Bureaux, which provides the resources for the training of bureaux workers and which is funded by grant-in-aid from my Department, takes the cost of such training into account when estimating its needs for Government funding.
