§ Mr. John PattenRevised instructions to Prison Department establishments on suicide prevention, including supervision procedures, are set out in circular instruction 3/1987, published in February, a copy of which is in the Library. These new procedures, in conjunction with the staff training programme already under way, should improve the prison service's ability to identify and help potential suicide victims.
