§ Sir Geoffrey Finsbergasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer how many agencies have been approved by the Inland Revenue for the purpose of changing payroll giving schemes up to 30 June; and how many schemes were in operation at the same date.
§ Mr. BrookeUp to 30 June, 13 agencies had been approved to operate payroll giving schemes. A further one has subsequently been approved. It is not possible to say precisely how many schemes were in operation on 30 June, but by 20 July the Inland Revenue had been notified that 1,125 employers planned to set up schemes.
