Mr. Arnold

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will list all National Health Service hospitals: (a) of over 900 beds and (b) which have been built, or added to since 1980 to make the combined old and new buildings over 900.

Information available centrally shows that the acute/general hospitals listed provide over 900 beds. Of these Ipswich hospital, Queens medical centre and Leicester general hospital have had phases added since 1980 to bring their total number of beds over 900.
