HC Deb 23 July 1987 vol 120 c479W
Mr. Baldry

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services if there are any circumstances in which mobility allowance has been paid in respect of a period prior to the date on which a claim has been made.

Mr. Scott

The regulations enable a claim for mobility allowance to be treated as having been received on a date up to three months earlier than that on which it was received where there has been a delay in the post; and up to six months earlier where it is a claim for the renewal of a previous award which has ended during this period.
