§ Mr. ScottThe draft general and transitional regulations on income support have not formally been laid before the House and therefore are not available through the usual outlets for statutory instruments. However, when copies of the draft regulations were placed in the Library, they were also sent to the departmental trade unions and to certain organisations which had been involved in discussions on income support earlier. In addition, the Department has been making available copies of the draft regulations to interested bodies and organisations within reason on request. The same arrangements exist for the draft family credit regulations.
