HC Deb 23 July 1987 vol 120 c487W
Ms. Ruddock

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services which organisations were consulted about the membership of the new health authority which was set up by his Department arising from the McColl report.

Mr. Scott

I refer the hon. Member to my reply to the hon. Member for Woolwich (Mr. Cartwright) on 21 July.

Ms. Ruddock

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services what arrangements have been made to ensure that the views of consumers of disablement services are taken into account by the new health authority which was set up by his Department arising from the McColl report.

Mr. Scott

The Disablement Services Authority is responsible for making its own arrangements for taking into account the views of its patients. I am confident that the authority will do so effectively.
