§ The Prime MinisterThe decision to close the Greenock container terminal is a matter for the commercial judgment of the Clyde port authority. The Greenock area already benefits from the activities of the Inverclyde initiative and from the full range of support by the 357W Manpower Services Commission. The additional measures announced recently by my right hon. and learned Friend the Secretary of State for Scotland to support the initiative will help Further to strengthen the efforts to create new employment opportunities in Inverclyde.
