HL Deb 23 July 1987 vol 488 c1571WA
Baroness Gardner of Parkes

asked Her Majesty's Government:

What is the latest estimate of revenue from fishing licences in the Falklands.

Lord Glenarthur

By 1st July the Falkland Islands Government had received approximately £12.5 million from fishing licences. The Falkland Islands Government estimate that licence revenue for 1987 will be £13.5 million and receipts from trans-shipment fees £0.8 million. The costs of implementation of the Falkland Islands Interim Conservation and Management Zone (FICZ) are estimated at approximately £4 million for a full 12 months.
