HC Deb 23 July 1987 vol 120 cc490-1W
Mr. Maxwell-Hyslop

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services by what date his Department's contribution of £25,000 will have been paid to the Devon family practitioner committee to update its computer so that it is able to perform the four functions set out in the letters to the family practioner committee from his Department dated 26 June, and from his Parliamentary Under-Secretary to the hon. Member for Tiverton; and what proportion of the cost will be paid by each of the four district health authorities in Devon, Exeter, Torbay, Plymouth and North Devon, respectively.

Mrs. Currie

As my noble Friend the Baroness Trumpington explained in her letter the question of funding for the upgrading of Devon family practitioner committee's computer is under consideration. It is not yet possible to specify when funds may be available nor what proportion of costs may be contributed by the health authorities concerned.
