HC Deb 23 July 1987 vol 120 c382W
Mr. Baldry

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment whether he has any changes to announce to his Department's cash limits.

Mr. Ridley

Yes. The non-voted cash limit in 1987–88 for new towns (DOE/NTI) has been reduced by £50 million from minus £95.146 million to minus £145.146 million to take account of receipts from disposals of property which are higher than forecast. The non-voted cash limit in 1987–88 for the urban block (DOE/UAI) is being increased by £31 million. This increase is in addition to the £3.1 million increase to the cash limit under the end-year flexibility increases announced today by my right hon. Friend, the Chief Secretary. The revised cash limit, taking account of both changes, is £437.5 million The balance of £19 million will be surrendered to the reserve.
