§ 30. Mr. McLeishasked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will take steps to increase the budget of the Scottish Development Agency.
§ Mr. LangThe agency's gross provision for 1987–88 is expected to be £136 million which continues the real terms increase trend in the agency's budget since this Government came to office. This is a sizeable budget and one which reflects the Government"s commitment to the agency as its main instrument of economic and environmental regeneration in Scotland.
