asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether they will modify their support for NATO's first-use policy towards nuclear weapons in the event of a war, in the light of a Gallup Poll taken shortly before the general election which found that 66 per cent. of those questioned, including a majority of Conservative voters, disapproved of their stance.
