§ Mr. Alan ClarkFull reports under the EC code of conduct are sought from United Kingdom companies with a controlling interest in a South African company. Other companies with a minority shareholding are expected to make efforts to ensure that the principles of the EC code are implemented and to report to the extent that they are able to do so. My Department's dealings with Bursett and Hallanshire Holdings plc have been in line with the code's requirements.
