Mr. Buchan

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will list (a) his Department's total expenditure on museums and galleries in Scotland in every year since 1976–77, (b) expenditure on the national galleries of Scotland, the national museum of antiquities, the royal Scottish museum and the national library, aportioned as between capital costs, current costs and purchase grants, (c) expenditure on the Scottish museums council, and (d) any other expenditure on museums in Scotland.
