asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science when he plans to publish further consultation papers in relation to the proposed Education Bill; what subjects will be covered; and what will be the periods for consultation.

The Government have published consultation papers on the arrangements for collective worship and on our proposals for more open enrolment.

We are today publishing a consultation paper on financial delegation to schools, to be followed by others on charges for school activities, grant-maintained schools, the national curriculum, the Government's proposals to allow inner London boroughs to take on the responsibilities of local education authorities; and in due course probably certain other issues. Like those already published, these further papers will seek comments by the early autumn.
