HC Deb 20 July 1987 vol 120 c42W
Mr. Matthew Taylor

asked the Secretaty of Slate for Transport when he expects the conversion to dual carriageway of the A30 through Devon and Cornwall to be completed.

Mr. Peter Bottomley

We plan the construction of 65 miles of dual carriageways and just under two miles of single carriageway in Devon and Cornwall. Five and a half miles of dual carriageway have recently been completed and another eight miles are under construction. A further 21½ miles is expected to start construction within the next three years. We aim to complete the remainder by the mid-1990s.
