§ Mr. Altonasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will make a statement on the progress of inquiries into the cases of Michael Hickey and others convicted of the murder of Carl Bridgewater.
§ Mr. John PattenThe main report of the inquiry, which has been conducted by officers of the Warwickshire constabulary, has been received and is under consideration. Following the receipt of additional representations on behalf of the convicted men, further inquiries have been ordered and the results of these will need to be fully considered before my right hon. Friend can reach a decision on the case.
