§ Mr. EggarOur policy in El Salvador is to support President Duarte's efforts to consolidate democratic institutions and the rule of law, and to end insurgency and terrorism. We welcome his efforts to promote regional reconciliation and were disappointed that the FMLN failed to attend the most recent meeting last September called by President Duarte for that purpose.
