HC Deb 15 July 1987 vol 119 c474W
Mr. Lawrence

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what support has been received from other Commonwealth countries for the Government's proposals for combating terrorism.

Mr. Mellor

The discussion of terrorism has figured prominently at recent Commonwealth fora. We have actively urged all Commonwealth members to accede to and ratify the various international conventions to combat terrorism. This has drawn wide support atnongst Commonwealth members, who have committed themselves to increased co-operation in this field.
