HL Deb 15 July 1987 vol 488 c1148WA
Lord Balfour of Inchrye

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether they have reached a decision about granting permission for the erection of a statue to the late Lord Dowding; and if not why their decision has been delayed.

The Minister of State, Department of the Environment(Lord Belstead)

Our decision will be issued very soon. We are at present awaiting the views of the Royal Fine Arts Commission, which should be available shortly.
