§ Lord James Douglas-HamiltonPrivate sector developers can apply to local authorities for improvement and repairs grants for the repair and improvement of property for subsequent sale and rent. In addition, the local enterprise grants for urban projects scheme (LEG-UP) is available to help attract private sector development, including housing, to urban areas which might not otherwise be considered for investment.
