§ Mr. Corbynasked the Prime Minister what is Her Majesty's Government's policy towards recognising the Moroccan annexation of Western Sahara; and if she will convey this policy to King Hassan during his forthcoming visit.
§ The Prime MinisterThe Government recognise neither the "Saharan Arab Democratic Republic" nor Moroccan claims to sovereignty over the Western Sahara. The Government fully support the efforts made by the United Nations Secretary General to bring about a peaceful solution. I look forward to discussing this and other international issues with King Hassan.
