§ Mr. Steelasked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will make it his policy to ensure that graduate scientists working in the National Health Service receive pay awards that are comparable to those gained by similarly qualified people in the private sector.
§ Mr. NewtonThe pay of graduate scientists is a matter for the Whitley Council. I understand that negotiations are in progress on the 1987 pay claim.
