§ 88. Mr. Roweasked the Minister for the Arts what plans he has to increase awareness of the payroll giving scheme among arts organisations.
§ Mr. LuceMy office has published a guide to the scheme for arts bodies, "Payroll Giving; making it work for the arts", explaining how it operates and what they can do to encourage payroll donations. This has been widely distributed amongst arts organisations, national museums and galleries, regional arts associations, and those individuals who had requested the previous OAL guide "New Tax Benefits for the Arts". My office has also arranged to distribute 3,000 copies of the leaflet in the Arts Council's bulletin this month. Action now rests with arts charities themselves to take advantage of these new benefits.
