§ Mr. RentonIn the eight years between 1979 and 1986 the numbers of nationals of Iran, Iraq, Libya and Syria granted refugee status in the United Kingdom were about 5,220,440, 130 and 30 respectively. Figures for earlier years are not available. It is not known how many of those granted refugee status have remained in this country.
