§ Ms. Primaroloasked the Secretary of State for Social Services whether he is satisfied that the present level of out-of-school provision meets the need of working parents and their children.
§ Mrs. CurrieOut of school provision is primarily a matter for parents but many local authorities provide schemes. The Department has for many years recognised the needs of working parents and families under stress by providing funding to the National Out of School Alliance, a voluntary body which stimulates the development of out of school schemes.
