§ Mr. Hindasked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will make it his policy to increase the funds made available to the Commission for the New Towns in order to enable it to increase its advertising budget.
§ Mrs. RoeMy right hon. Friend does not provide any funds for the commission's publicity budget; the commission generates sufficient income to cover this and the majority of its expenditure on other activities. It is in the first instance a matter for the commission to assess the levels of expenditure which are required to carry out its responsibilities.
