§ Mr. Campbell-Savoursasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department to whom access is permitted to the lists drawn up by his Department for the purpose of identifying persons resident overseas with the right to vote in United Kingdom general elections.
§ Mr. Douglas HoggThe Representation of the People Regulations 1986 require each electoral registration officer to prepare a list of overseas electors in respect of each constituency in the area for which he acts and to publish it by making a copy available for inspection at his office. He is also required to supply four free copies of the list to each prospective parliamentary candidate or his agent, on request; one free copy to the Secretary of State and the British Library; and any remaining copies to any person on payment of a prescribed fee.
