§ Mr. Cohenasked the Secretary of State for Scotland what additional advice will he give to community charge registration officers as to the sale of names and addresses of people contained in the community charge register, when the sale of the names and addresses takes place without the consent or knowledge of the data subject.
§ Mr. LangMy right hon. and learned Friend is considering what notice should be given to persons registered as liable to pay the community charges of the availability for sale of the publicly available part of the register, as provided for by section 20(4) of the Abolition of Domestic Rates Etc. (Scotland) Act 1987.
