§ Mr. SainsburyThe capabilities of our tank fleet are kept under constant review. A number of equipment enhancements are currently in hand. A new thermal imaging and observation sight is presently being fitted to all Challenger tanks. New developments now well under way include a new gun, together with its improved ammunition and elevation gearbox, improved computer sighting system and new target acquisition and solid state electronic gun control systems.
