§ Mr. ScottWe intend to continue to improve the framework of benefits for disabled people. We have significantly increased the value of the mobility allowance and taken it out of tax. It would be premature to consider further major changes in advance of the results of the current Government survey of disabled people, due to be published next year. We have said that we will consider nearer the time what should be done about the age 75 limit for the allowance, which will not affect any current recipients until November 1989.
