HL Deb 27 January 1987 vol 483 c1319WA
The Earl of Swinton

asked Her Majesty's Government:

For what purpose 4 St. James's Square, London SW1, is used; how frequently it is used; and what is the number of both full-time and part-time employees who work there.

The Secretary of State for Employment (Lord Young of Graffham)

It is used solely as the central office of the Employment Appeal Tribunal, a superior court of record dealing with appeals arising from the decisions of the industrial tribunals and the certification officer for trade unions and employers' associations. The building is in use throughout the year and the tribunal sits in session four times a year. Twenty-five full-time and three part-time staff work there.
