§ Mr. Stanbrookasked the Attorney-General whether the Lord Chancellor has completed his review on the use of juries in personal injury actions in Northern Ireland.
The Attorney-GeneralThe review announced in November 1985 has been completed. The Lord Chancellor has carefully considered the further views of interested parties in Northern Ireland and has concluded that there is no compelling reason why Northern Ireland should differ from England and Wales in the use of juries in personal injury actions. He intends to bring forward legislation in the near future to effect the change.
