Accident rates (injury accidents per million vehicle kilometers) over three-year bands from 1982, are as follows:—
per mvk 1982 to 1984 0.29 1983 to 1985 0.29 1984 to 1986 0.30 The Department has been considering what can be done to improve safety standards. Traffic management and improvements are being undertaken where justified and where resources are available. I shall take the needs of this road into account at the forthcoming programme review.
