§ Mr. Bellasked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland (1) what were the number of allegations of police maltreatment of prisoners held in their custody under the emergency provisions in Northern Ireland during the years 1975 to 1985 on a year-by-year basis; how many investigations were held; and how many of the allegations were upheld during the same years, again on a year by year basis;
(2) what was the number of allegations of police maltreatment of prisoners in their custody in Northern Ireland other than under emergency powers during the years 1975 to 1985 on a year-by-year basis; how many investigations were held; and how many of the allegations were upheld during the same years, again on a year by year basis.
