§ Mr. David MitchellBus service levels have been broadly maintained in Avon, and the county council has made a saving of some £1 million in its annual subsidy bill. The inevitable initial teething troubles are now being resolved, and there are substantial numbers of minibuses operating in Bristol, Bath and Weston-Super-Mare. The Government were able to approve the sale of Badgerline, formerly a subsidiary of the National Bus Company, to its own management last September.
