§ Mr. Nicholas Wintertonasked the Secretary of State for the Environment whether he is in a position to estimate the number of new housing starts in 1986.
§ Mr. TraceyIt is not the practice for the Department to make forecasts of housebuilding starts. Provisional figures for the first 11 months of 1986 were published on 7 January in the Department's press release No. 6, a copy of which is available in the Library. Figures for the whole of 1986 will be released on 5 February.
