§ Mr. MacGregor[pursuant to his reply, 12 January 1987]: Annual information on the current value of transactions involving investment overseas by United Kingdom residents, distinguishing direct and portfolio investment, between 1964 and 1985 inclusive is given at table 1.4 of the "United Kingdom Balance of Payments" 1986 edition (The CSO Pink Book), a copy of which is in the Library. Later information up to the third quarter of 1986 is given in the press notice on the United Kingdom balance of payments issued on 4 December 1986.
