§ Mr. David MitchellUnder the procedures provided by the Rates Act 1984 the expenditure level for West Yorkshire Passenger Transport Authority for 1986–87 was redetermined at £61.3 million on 20 December 1985. My right hon. Friend the then Secretary of State explained the considerations relevant to this decision in reply to a question on that date from my hon. Friend the Member for South Ribble (Mr. Atkins). I understand the PTA's budgeted expenditure for 1986–87 is £61.288 million.
