Mr. Teddy Taylor

asked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry what is the percentage of United Kingdom exports of manufactures and visible trade, respectively, which go to the present members of the European Economic Community; and what was the comparable percentage for exports to these nations in each of the previous four years.

In 1986, the United Kingdom share of the European Community's imports of manufactures is provisionally estimated to have been approximately 8 per cent. The figures for the previous years are in the table.
