§ Mr. Waddington[pursuant to his reply, 19 December 1986, c. 735]: On the night of 10/11 December 43 male and two female citizens of Sri Lanka were in detention under powers contained in the Immigration Act 1971 having arrived as passengers. No separate record is kept of the ethnic origin of detained Sri Lankans.
