HC Deb 12 January 1987 vol 108 cc66-7W
Lord James Douglas-Hamilton

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department what are the numbers of persons (a) imprisoned for being found guilty of reckless driving causing death or (b) disqualified from driving for life, for that offence, giving figures, for each year in the last 10 years.

Mr. Mellor

The information available on sentences for offences of causing death by reckless driving and on disqualifications imposed for offences of causing death or bodily harm is published annually in "Statistics of Offences Relating to Motor Vehicles, England and Wales, Supplementary Tables" (tables 7 and 14 of the issue for 1985).
