§ Mr. Chris PattenThe aid programme to India, including project aid, is kept under regular review. At the bilateral aid talks in December we advised the Indian Government that we would welcome new project proposals in sectors where we believe we could make a strong contribution. For tied aid they include power, coal and water. For poverty alleviating projects they include slum improvement, natural resources, water and sanitation, and family planning and health.
