Mr. Maclennan

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland what reports he has received from Her Majesty's industrial air pollution inspectorate on the land-based flaring systems operated by BP Petroleum Development Ltd., Sullom Voe, Shetland and Occidental Petroleum (Caledonia) Ltd., Flotta, Orkney; and if he will place such reports in the Library.

Annual reports on industrial air pollution, published by the Health and Safety Executive, are already available in the Library. They include comments on the operation of the flaring systems at Sullom Voe and Flotta.
