§ Mr. Douglas HoggAssessment of standards of fire cover is a matter for the fire authority: in London, the Greater London council until 1 April 1986, and now the London Fire and Civil Defence Authority. It is not the practice to publish Her Majesty's inspectors of fire services' annual brigade inspection reports; but they give no ground for supposing that the fire authority has not made adequate arrangements to discharge its statutory obligations.
