asked the Secretary of State for Wales if he will undertake a study into the possible adverse effects of multiple use of needles and syringes supplied to children suffering from diabetes; and if he will make a statement.

We have no plans to undertake such a study. However, the current arrangements for the supply of disposable syringes on the National Health Service have recently been the subject of discussion between Health Departments and the British Diabetic Association.
