Mr. Weetch

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services what were the numbers of estimates scheduled per dentist in each of the months November and December 1981–85 inclusive, and January to October 1986.

Precise information cannot be provided in the form requested. Figures for the number of general dental services dentists are available only on a six-monthly basis up to 1983 and on a quarterly basis thereafter. The figures in the following table have therefore been estimated.

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services when he expects the report of the Dental Estimates Board for 1985–86 to be published; how many dental estimates for examination and report only were received and processed in each month in 1986, for which figures are available; and how many cases were made using the claim form FP 17E.
