Mr. D. E. Thomas

asked the Secretary of State for Energy (1) if he will list the categories of information held by his Department on civil nuclear power which are deemed necessary to be kept secret on grounds of national interest;

(2) pursuant to his reply to the hon. Member for Leeds, West (Mr. Meadowcroft) Official Report, 19 November 1986, column 233, if he will set out the nature of the sensitivity of information to which he refers; and what are the aspects of the national interest that any revelations of information on the civil nuclear programme are likely to damage.
